2S4 Tyulpan Soviet mortar


                Name: 2S4 Tyulpan is a Soviet self-propelled mortar. "2S4" is its GRAU designation. The Tyulpan is currently the heaviest mortar in deployment among any country. It was recognized for the first time in 1975 in the Soviet army and so was called M-1975 by NATO (the 2S7 Pion also received the M-1975 designation), whereas it’s official designation is SM-240(2S4). Its design is based on the GMZ tracked mine laying vehicle carrying an externally mounted M-240 240 mm breech-loading mortar on the hull rear.
The crew consists of four men, but an extra five are required to operate the mortar. This has a range of 9,650 m but an extended range munitions exists with a possible range of 20,000 m. Due to the large size of the weapon and the weight of the ammunition (130 kg for a standard projectile) it has a slow rate of fire: one round per minute. In addition to the high explosive bombs, it can fire amour-piercing, chemical and nuclear rounds. It can also fire the "Smel'chak" (daredevil), a laser-guided round.
It saw action during the conflicts in Afghanistan and Chechnya. In both conflicts, the Smel'chak projectile consistently destroyed targets quickly, precisely, and with only a few rounds. The extreme firepower per round compensates for the Tyulpan's slow rate of fire.

2S3 Akatsiya seven road wheels


NAME: 2S3 Akatsiya. The 2S3 Akatsiya has seven road wheels on each side; the running gear can be fitted with different widths of track to match terrain.  2S3 Akatsiya's interior is separated into a driver's compartment on the left, an engine compartment on the right and a fighting compartment to the rear. Within the fighting compartment sit the commander on the left, the loader on the right and the gunner to the front. The all-welded turret is located above the fighting compartment. The 2S1 utilizes a 122 mm howitzer based on the towed D-30 howitzer. The gun is equipped with a double-baffle muzzle brake and a fume extractor. It is capable of firing HE (high explosive), leaflet, HE/RAP, armor-piercing HE, fleches and chemical rounds.

M-825 jeep Customized


The M-825 is a specially customized M-151A2 jeep, revise to accommodate the M40 106mm Recoilless Rifle on an M79 mount. It replaced the very similar M151A1C Weapons Platform, based on the M151A1 1/4 ton jeep. The M825 carries a crew of two, six rounds of ammunition for the M40, plus minor items such as tools for the weapon.

The M825 has a revise rear panel and heavier rear suspension than the M151A2 and a higher center of gravity due to the M40, making it even easier to tip over. Crew seats are provided over the rear wheels and a jerry can holder is provided on the left side, above and just to the rear of the front wheel well.

The M825 was also later used as a platform for the M220 TOW Anti-Tank Missile, replacing the M40 RR and its mount with the TOW mount and weapon.

Boxer multimode armored fighting vehicle Info


The Boxer is a German-Dutch multimode armored fighting vehicle it designed to accomplish a number of operations through the use of installable mission modules. It is produced by the ARTEC GmbH (Armored vehicle Technology) industrial group, and the programmed is being managed by OCCAR (Organization for Joint Armament Cooperation). ARTEC GmbH is seated in Munich, its parent companies are Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall on the German side, and Stork PWV (now also a subsidiary of Rheinmetall) for the Netherlands. Other names are GTK (Gepanzertes Transport Kraftfahrzeug; armored transport vehicle) Boxer and "MRAV" for Multimode Armored Vehicle the Boxer is an eight-wheeled MRAV, easily dwarfing most contemporary vehicles with its size. At 33 ton combat weight, it is also about 10 tons heavier than many other contemporary vehicles within the same role. It is designed to carry out a variety of utility missions with maximum flexibility; this is achieved via several different "mission modules" specialized for various tasks which are available separately from the vehicle. The base vehicle is independent of the modules, and modules can be interchanged within an hour. Each module incorporates a primary safety cell with a triple floor.

            Stryker M1128 Mobile Gun System mgc is an eight-wheeled armor fighting vehicle mounting a 105 mm tank gun, based on the Canadian LAV III light-armor vehicle, which in turn is based on the Mo wag Piranha. It is in service with the United States and was also being considered for adoption by several other countries, including Canada.

                Chinese arms manufacturers are showing a wide variety of combat shotguns at international arms shows. But the Chinese Army, while it has the Type 97-1 combat shotgun in its inventory, has not sought to expand its arsenal of shotguns. The Type 97-1 is apparently intended for riot-control, not close combat.
Meanwhile, Chinese firms have been showing mostly existing designs to Chinese Army procurement officials, and foreign buyers. Chinese designs range from the short barrel, 12 gauge (18.4mm), weapons with collapsible stocks, pistol grips and five round tube magazines, to those with box magazines (which tend to be the bullpup, or magazine behind the pistol grip). There is at least one model with a high capacity drum magazine.
               The Type 97-1 is mainly used by the police. It is a 3.1 kg (6.8 pound), 94cm (37 inch) long, fixed stock 12 gauge shotgun with a five round tube magazine. There is a more military type version of the Type 97-1 version with a bullpup magazine layout and a collapsible stock. This model, however, is more often seen in use by the police than by troops.
              Meanwhile, the United States saw its combat shotguns evolve rapidly during the years of combat in Iraq. The result, two years ago, was the appearance of a new shotgun design in Iraq and Afghanistan. This came after over a year of additional testing and tweaking. Then the U.S. Army bought over 10,000 of the M26 12 Gauge Modular Accessory Shotgun Systems (MASS). The M26 weighs about one kilogram (2 pounds, 11 ounces) and has a five round magazine. The M26 is a 42cm (16.5 inch) long, 12 gauge shotgun and can be operated right or left handed. It fires solid shot for blasting open closed doors, or lower velocity, non-lethal (most of the time) rubber slugs for dealing with hostile crowds. A stand-alone version weighs 1.9 kg (4 pounds, 3 ounces) and is 61cm (24 inches) long (with the attached stock collapsed).
                The first (1st) versions of this weapon weighed 4.1 kg (nine pounds) and carried only three rounds. The design evolved, over the last decade, into the current M26. Troops tested it in combat for two years. There were complaints about the cocking mechanism, which used a bolt instead of a pump action (which many troops expressed a preference for.) The final design improved the cocking mechanism, and the reliability of the magazines. Before MASS, troops used a conventional (Mossberg) 12 gauge shotgun for getting locked doors open in a hurry. The M26 proved very reliable during testing, with over 20,000 rounds being fired. Large quantities of the M26 reached the troops in 2009.

Su-47


Su-47 ""Berkut"" are similar to those of Su-37, although they are different aircraft, and the back portion, front portion and canopy are similar to those of the Su-35. The first two prototypes of this aircraft were evidently designated the S-32, and the S-37 designation was previously applied to an unrelated fighter project for a smaller delta wing single aircraft that was cancelled due to lack of funding. The Su-47 features forward-swept wings, which promises a range of benefits in aerodynamics at subsonic speeds and at high angles of attack. The forward-swept wing, which enables the aircraft to increases its range and its maneuverability at high altitude, it makes extensive use of composite materials. The aircraft has large canards mounted on the intake side, close to the leading edge of the wings. The vertical stabilizers are canted slightly outward not inward, as previously believed, and two large auxiliary intake doors are visible on the center fuselage section. It is not clear which engines are used on this aircraft. The two power plants are at the moment D-30F6 turbojets which are normally used at the MiG-31M, while the second prototype uses the Ljulka AL-37FU turbojet with thrust vectoring. MK19 40mm machine gun

The MK19 40mm machine gun, MOD 3 is an air-cooled, disintegrating metallic link-belt fed, and blowback operate, completely mechanical weapon and is troop portable over small distance with partial amount of  ammo. It can shoot a variety of 40mm grenades. The M430 HEDP 40mm grenade will pierce armor up to 2 inches thick, and will produce fragments to kill personnel within 5 meters and wound staff surrounded by 15 meters of the point of impact.
